Leon Dozier Jr. was born December 9, 1958, in Chicago, IL to the union of Beatrice Dozier and Leon Dozier Sr., who preceded him in death. Leon was the youngest of three siblings. 

Leon confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1978, and also attended Northern Illinois University. 

Leon loved music, cooking, sports, and had a special way of cracking jokes (he could have been a comedian).

Leon transitioned on April 28, 2019, at 9:10 pm at Mercy Hospital. He leaves to cherish his children Jeneene Brown, Eric Nash, Natalia Dozier, Nicole Dozier, and Mysha Dozier; his grandchildren Micah Nash, Jeremiah Nash, Gabriel Nash, Eric Nash Jr., Ariana Nash, Devontae Strickland Jr., Khamari Harris, Khalani Harris, and Christian White; mother Beatrice Dozier; two sisters Vanessa Lawrence and Valerie Dozier; one aunt Clarkie Alexander from L.A.; one uncle William Scott (Laura); a special friend Chris Hawthorne; and a host of relatives and friends. 

A memorial will be held on May 18, 2019, at 3:00 pm at 1333 N. Cleveland (Community Room). All are welcomed to attend to celebrate the life of Leon. In regards to flowers, cards, and condolences, please see Beatrice Dozier.
