This obituary is administered by:
ShelbyvilleEthington, Lee Michael,Lee Michael Ethington, aged 41, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky and surrounded by his devoted family.Lee was born on June 5, 1976 to Linda and Larry Ethington of Shelbyville. Lee and his sister, Lori Ethington of Simpsonville, spent most of their childhood summers at the Shelbyville Country Club with countless friends. Lee graduated from Shelby County High School and studied at University of Kentucky before returning to Shelbyville to work for his family's business, Ethington Building Supply. Following the death of his beloved father Larry in 2008, Lee left the family business and fulfilled his life-long dream of becoming a successful developer and builder of custom homes in the Shelbyville area. On October 12, 2002, Lee married the love of his life April Ethington in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They ran several successful businesses together as a team and brought three beautiful children into this world. Lee's oldest daughter, Krysta Lyn Ethington, is a recent honors graduate of Martha Layne Collins High School in Shelbyville. Lee was ecstatic this fall when she began her freshman year at the University of Kentucky, home of his cherished Wildcats. Lee was exceptionally proud of Krysta and loved watching her play volleyball over the years. Scarcely a winter weekend went by that Lee was not traveling to one of her games. Lee's oldest son, Bailey Michael Ethington, is nine 9 years old and is whipsmart like his father and contemplative like April. Lee enjoyed taking him to boyscouts and fishing. Finally, Lee's youngest son Micah Lee Ethington is just five (5) years old and the spitting image of his father. Micah inherited Lee's boundless energy and attention to detail. Of all his accomplishments, Lee was most proud of his beautiful family.Lee was preceded in death by his father, Larry Wilson Ethington and first cousin, Paige Ethington Hardy, of New York.He is survived by his wife, April Ethington, daughter Krysta, sons Bailey and Micah all of Shelbyville; mother Linda K.
