Lawrence "Larry" FordyceSeptember 15, 1939 - April 27, 2016Lawrence "Larry" Fordyce was born on September 15, 1939 in Pocatello, Idaho to Richard and Clara Fordyce. He grew up in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. He then went on to attend Idaho State University. Among his hobbies, Larry enjoyed the outdoors and doing outdoor activities. He had an interest in jewelry, guns, cars and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a member of Pocatello Field Archers and Port-Neuf Muzzleloaders Association, as well as numerous other outdoor associations.Larry passed away on April 27, 2016 peacefully at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Clara Fordyce; his older brother, Glenn Fordyce; and a great nephew, Braidon Wren. He is survived by his brother, Ken (Nadene) Fordyce of Pocatello; sister-in-law JoAnne Fordyce of Boise; nieces and nephews, Amy (Chris) Wren of Blackfoot and their children Dalton, Remington, and Easton; Kristy (Tino Munoz) Fordyce of Pocatello and her son Garrett; Carol (Bob) Thurston and children of Tennessee, Nancy (Ralph) Welker and children of Texas; Doug (Lisa) Fordyce and their children of Boise.A celebration of life bonfire will be held at FMC Park on May 6th at 6:00 P.M. Friends are encouraged to bring a chair, a story or memory to share, and marshmallows to roast. Port-Neuf Muzzleloaders will provide a gun salute in his honor. Friends who wish, may make donations in Larry's memory to any charity supporting wildlife in Idaho. Please call the family for any questions.
