Ashley, LawrenceLawrence F. Ashley, 89, Green Bay, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017. He was born on October 9, 1927 to the late Louis and Elizabeth (Savor) Ashley. From 1944 until 1946, Lawrence served his country in the Merchant Marines and United States Army, 179th Infantry and in Korea. On August 6, 1949, he married Irene Van Egeren at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on October 2, 2004. Lawrence enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Packers and the Brewers, playing cribbage, going to the cottage and most of all being with his family.Lawrence is survived by his son, Walter (Wendy) Ashley, Sheboygan; his daughters, Alice (Nick) Keel, Appleton, and Teresa (Eldon) Black, Seymour; grandchildren, Jon Ashley and Louis Ashley, Amber (Joseph) Endemann, Tyler Keel, Ashley Black, Jackie Arneson, Keith Arneson and Shane Arneson; great-grandchildren, Owen, Sawyer and Sophia Endemann, Cierra Keel, Jade Ashley, Jackson Ashley, Megan Arneson, Emma Areson, Braven, Nolan, Parker, Grensen and Gwendolyn; his brother, Harold (Kay) Ashley; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Don Ashley.Visitation will be held at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue on Monday, April 17, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 5:00 p.m. with Father Robert Kabot officiating.
