This obituary is administered by:

Forever in our hearts

Lawrence "Larry" Eugene Jordan was born to Leonard and Ida Jordan on July 10, 1955 in South Haven, Michigan. He was raised there and attended LC Mohr High School.

He began his career as a truck driver, embracing the open roads across the country. Later, he branched into a new career as an auto detailing technician settling in Milwaukee, WI. Expanding his skills for making things beautiful, he trained himself on commercial and residential painting and founded his own company, Jordan Empire Painting.

Larry loved traveling, learning new languages and meeting new people. He enjoyed skiing, bike riding, and a good game of racquetball. He took a straightforward approach to life and lived untethered taking his career and travels to various international destinations.

Most remember him as a man who openly shared stories of his experiences with infectious
laughter and a charming smile. One could often find him sharing photos of his family,
trying out new cuisines, and planning his next adventure. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, all who knew him.

Larry passed on August 23, 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri. He is preceded in death by
his wife, Lureatha; parents, Ida and Leonard Jordan; and his siblings, Blanche Jordan, Leonard "Sonny" Jordan Jr and Richard Jordan.

His life will be forever cherished by those left to remember him: his four sons Lanell Hubbard, Donnell Byrd, Avanni Hobbs and Tavist Jordan; his grandchildren, Iman and DeMyron; his siblings Judy Walker, Dorothy McDonald, Curtis Jordan, Bernice (Ralph) Cunningham and Gwendolyn Jordan; and host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at one o'clock in the afternoon on the 3rd day of October, 2020 at South Shore Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
