Larry Dale Sims, AKA: "Pa", from Tulare, CA, Was called up to the Lord on November 13, 2016 at 4:45 PM. He was 56.He was born on April 26, 1960 in Lindsay, CA to Dee and Noel Sims. Larry married Susan Winchester in 1979. He went to Monache High School in Porterville, CA. He worked at Guinn construction as a Foreman, where he met some lifelong friends. He grew up in Woodville, CA and lived in Tulare most of his life with his wife and kids. Larry enjoyed collecting guns, watching his grandsons play sports and being around the people he loved the most in life.Larry is survived by his wife, Susan Sims of Tulare; children, Larry Sims and wife Lorraine, Ernie Sauceda, Sarah Sims and Robert Sims all of Tulare; grandchildren, Luke Sims (12), Adam Sims (10) and Elijah Macedo (8) all of Tulare; Siblings, Mamie Chilton and husband Donald of Oklahoma, Helen Geller and husband Dean of Oklahoma, Vinnie Green and Troy of Madera, CA, Gary Sims of Tulare and Alan Sims of Tulare. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, father-in-law, Bob Winchester.Psalm 23:4, 6 - "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. … Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."A Viewing will be held at Myers Chapel, Porterville on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Graveside services will be held at Woodville Cemetery of Friday, November 18, 2016 at 1:00 PM. To remember and celebrate the life of Larry Sims, a reception will follow the services.
