Lacy Clark Milledgeville, GA- Lacy Louise Pirkle Clark was born on March 29th , 1920 in Cochran, GA., and passed away on November 14, 2016 in Milledgeville, GA. Lacy grew up in Cochran where she obtained her teachers certificate in at Middle GA College and taught second grade in Cochran for several years. She met and later married George W. Clark in 1946 and moved to Wrightsville, GA. They moved to Eastman , GA in 1948 where they lived until George retired. Lacy loved spending time with her family, was active in the First United Methodist Church and her community. Lacy and George moved to Milledgeville in 1983, Lacy was actively involved in the Methodist church, Daughters of American Revolution (Nancy Hart Chapter) where she also served as Regent. Lacy was also a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy (Robert E. Lee chapter) for many years. She enjoyed cooking as well as entertaining for family and friends, playing bridge, visiting shut-ins, and also delivering Meals on Wheels. Lacy is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. W.H. Pirkle, her sister Elizabeth P. Foster, and her husband of 67 years, George W. Clark Jr. Lacy is survived by her children , Elizabeth Clark Meier of Milledgeville, George William Clark III (Dianne) , Connie Clark Tillman (Lannis) , and grandchildren , Gary W. Meier Jr. (Holly) , Marjorie Meier Acosta (Jacob), Craig W. Clark , Andrew R. Clark (Katie) , Daniel K. Clark, Leah Tillman Brockington (Josh) , and great –grand children, Emma Clark and Jeb Brockington. Services will be held at Williams Funeral Chapel on Friday November 18, with visitation from 10-11 am, with the service beginning at 11:00. The graveside service will be held in Cochran, GA at Cedar Hill cemetery at 2:30 pm.
