It is with great sadness and a heavy heart, as the family of Sardar Kulwant Singh Kandra announce of his passing on March 9, 2019, in Chandigrah India at the age of 72. He was born in Punjab, India on August 15, 1947 While in India, he was in the Air Force for 21 years and running Shanti Samar School for 15 years. 

He was a very hard working man, and worked at Shanti Samar school for over 15 years to support his family and be able to teach value to his students. He had a passion for music, was strong willed, and a very compassionate person, who had a heart of gold. He will be in our memories forever, as a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Surjit K. Uppal; daughter, Harpreet Kaur and Son Manpreet money Singh. Two grandchildren Ishmeet Singh and Kuldip Kaur. 

Memorial Services will be held in Chandigarh India at Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Shaib at 6am Friday, March 15 thru Sunday March 17th, followed by final prayers. The US memorial service will be held at Chapel, 817 Almonds St., Yuba City, CA, at 11:00 AM on Sunday, March 17, 2019, followed by final prayers at Sri Guru Nanak Sikh Temple on in Yuba City, CA.
