Kevin Edward Ruhle, IIHOPEWELL JUNCTION - Kevin Edward Ruhle, II, 32, died on August 16, 2017. Kevin was the heart of any room with his warm, funny, and infinitely engaging demeanor. Even though he sometimes tried to hide it, his natural sweetness and tender-heartedness had a way of endearing him to all who came into contact with him.Kevin was born on August 2, 1985 in Poughkeepsie. He was a lifetime athlete starting with baseball on the East Fishkill Babe Ruth League and CYO basketball as a young boy. He also played varsity basketball in the position of center during his junior and senior years. The spirit and camaraderie of being on a team was one of the highlights of Kevin's life. Kevin attended Dutchess Community College, making the dean's list before heading to SUNY New Paltz where he graduated with a B.S. in Business. After finishing college, he worked for Layne Christensen as a project manager in addition to various other companies in the water, wastewater, and electrical fields. One of Kevin's greatest joys was working with his hands, especially for the benefit of a friend or loved one, and he was a talented, resourceful, and generous handyman. His deepest wish was to be a valued, contributing member of a thriving small town community, and he spent his life working towards that end.
