Kevin BrummerCarlisleKevin Adam Brummer passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at his son's farm in Indianola, Iowa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carlisle. Interment with military rites will follow in the Scotch Ridge Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:30 PM Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Kevin was born on December 18, 1938 in Wells, Minnesota to Adam and Agnes (O'Rourke) Brummer. Kevin enlisted with the United States Marine Corps on June 6, 1956 and was honorably discharged March 6, 1959. After 34 years, Kevin retired from General Mills, Inc in 1996. Since his retirement, Kevin was active in raising Black Angus cattle and attending to the family farms. Kevin enjoyed traveling and spending time with his immediate and extended families. Kevin married Sharon Lee Tadewald on June 30, 1962. Together they raised five boys; Brett (Terri), Bart (Cindy), Gregg (Jean), Wells (Amy) and Wyatt (Tresa). In addition, Kevin is survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
