Kenneth E. Hanna77, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 27, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on January 7, 1940 to James and Zeldia Hanna in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was a high school teacher and coach for most of his career. He was also an avid writer and published many books. His most recent publication was a series of 8 children's history books that he co-authored with his grandchildren.He is survived by his children Wanda Kay (Todd) Truan and Kendra Moran; grandchildren Luke and Sarah Moran; sister Kay (Lee) Atkinson; nephew Keith Atkinson; and a large extended family.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to St. George Orthodox Church, where Ken was an active member, at

lung.org.Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis from 4 to 8 pm. A Trisagion for the Departed will be held at 7:30 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 1 at Indiana Funeral Care at 10 am. Burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
