Kenneth Dwayne Carter was born in Detroit,MI on October 19,1967 to the late Mary Louise Carter and Gregory Tyrone Moore.
Kenneth gave his life to Christ at a very young age prior to his illness he would attend services at Trinity Memorial Baptist Church.
In 1993 he became the proud, thankful father of twin daughters, Shllonda and Dalonda. He met and married the love of his wife Crystal Ledbetter. Kenneth was a loving father and husband who enjoyed fishing, go to the park, and spending time with his family. He would always encourage them to do their very best. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye. They brought him so much love and joy.
Upon graduating from Mackenzie High School in Detroit Mi, he worked in several different occupations. Kenneth was always learning and pursuing better employment. He worked at Thorn Apple Valley Company in a managerial position for 16 years until the company relocated to another state.
Kenneth was excited when he completed the requirements for truck driving school and passed all the certifications. Later he became employed at the Woodbridge Group Company until he became totally disabled.
Kenneth continued to persevere with resilience and an unbreakable spirit in spite of his illness. He was a man of humility, gratitude,and respect. He fought the battle to the end with God's help and love and support of family and friends.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his wife, Crystal Ledbetter; two daughters Shllonda and Dalonda Covington; one step son Ezell Daniels; two brothers Billy Carter and JeCarlos Carter; step brother Michael Rodgers; step father Billy Barbin who he affectionately called "Dad"; one sister Heather Moore; three grandchildren Nakiya Convington, Antonio Wallace and Kamiya Covington; one nephew Billy Garrett ; two aunt's Connie Carter (GA) and Ruthie Pruitt (NY); three uncle's James Carter (GA), Wayman Carter (GA) and Oscar Lee Carter (FL) and a host of relatives and friends.
