Kenneth Bufkin, 63, was born on September 17, 1957 to Billbo and Bessie Mae Bufkin in Highland Park, Michigan who proceeded him in death. He was the only boy of their union.

Kenneth was educated through Detroit Public School systems and obtained his diploma later in life.

He met Yvette Elizabeth McGill who proceeded him in death and together they had 2 children Kenneth Bufkin Jr. and Quame DeShawn Bufkin. Kenneth was known to many as "Spoon" and he loved to sing. Many times, as a very young man, you could catch him singing a song from the Dramatics, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, or The Floaters in the back of the gym in the Herman Gardens just to name a few. Kenneth's love of music carried on to his adult life and he loved duets with his little sister Needra. Kenneth had an undying love for his family in fact, he gave all his nieces and nephews nick names and once he gave you a name, he never called you by your birth name again. Kenneth always had a funny story about his loved ones and he loved to laugh. As tough as Kenneth was, Spoon would cry a drop of a hat.

He was a beloved father, brother and uncle-We love you and will miss you dearly as you have etched a place deep in our hearts.

Kenneth left this earthly plane on Feburary 4, 2021 and is survived by his children Kenneth Jr. (Stank) (Jeff), and Quame (Baby Head); Grand Children: Quame Deshawn Jr and Ryley Yvette Bufkin. Sisters: Rose Helen (Ann Arbor, MI) Betty, Patricia and Needra of Detroit, MI; Nieces: Patricia, Andrea (Lady Bug), Aleja (Ms. Ann) Turner (Samuel), Lesley (Ms. Huggums), SaNeedra (Ma); Nephews: Michael, Shawn (Pig), Lamar (Butch) (proceeded in death) , Lester (Butter) and Dion (Rev) and a host of grand nieces, nephews and friends.
