Kelton E. "Joe" Reynolds Sr., 76, of Montrose, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015, at Zephyrhills Hospital, with his loving wife of 55 years, Lorraine, at his side. Kelton was born on November 1, 1939 to Albert and Ethel (Rose) Reynolds in Montrose. He graduated from Montrose High School and went to work for the Montrose water company. He later worked for and retired from Stowe/Elliott Mfg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel MacGeorge, and stepfather, Herman MacGeorge. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Klim) Reynolds; son Kelton Reynolds Jr., Centreville Va.; daughter, Kellene Parthemore (Scott) Newville; brothers and sisters, Marlene Robinson, Lucille Hewitt, Kathleen Johnson, James MacGeorge, H. Scott MacGeorge, Robert MacGeorge, George MacGeorge, and Nancy Darrow; grandchildren, Chris Thomas, Kellie Steiger, Stephanie, and Matthew Reynolds, Joel and Eli Parthemore; two great grandchildren; as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He is also survived by his aunt, Aleta Somers. Joe was a diehard Cowboys and Yankee fan and enjoyed going to Yankee Stadium when he could. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. In the family, he is well known for only hunting with two shells. He also loved to shoot pool and was an infamous Pinochle player. He enjoyed teaching his helpers, Joel and Eli, about the process of making maple syrup and hearing their stories. In his later years, many evenings you would find him at a local Bingo game. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, neighbors, and anyone who knew him. A Celebration of his life will be held at a time this summer, when convenient for the family.
