Kara Elizabeth Finney, 23, of San Jose passed away peacefully after a brief illness Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Kaiser Permanente Santa Teresa Medical Center in San Jose. Kara was born September 27, 1991 at Natividad Medical Center in Salinas. 

She was a student at A.B. Ingham School for many years.

Kara's favorite things included her Grandparents, Cal and Vera Johnson of Illinois, her sister Amy, Amy's friends, music, Disneyland, horseback riding and swimming.

She is survived by her parents, Jane and James Finney of Illinois, and her sister, Amy of San Francisco.

Her family wishes to thank her wonderful teachers at A.B. Ingham School, the Star Riders horseback riding program for disabled children, her favorite doctor and advocate, Dr. W. Reid Giedt of Salinas, the caring staff at Natividad Medical Center, and her wonderful caregiver of the last two-and-a-half years, Romarie Aquino of San Jose.
