Hayes, Judith M. "Judy"Judith M. "Judy" Hayes, age 78 of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born on January 14, 1939 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude (Ostertag) Hayes. She was a math teacher for middle school students at St. Mary Springs in Fond du Lac and had also worked for the Morgan Door Company for 19 years and retired from the Winnebago County Sheriffs Department in 2012. She was also a bartender for several years. Judy greatly enjoyed reading and traveling along with sports, especially the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by three daughters, Susan (Steven) Guyette of Greenville, Sandra (Mark) Schmidt and Shelia (Bob Hohenwalter) Ruedinger, both of Oshkosh; a sister, Joan (Troy) Ramey of Milwaukee; five grandchildren, Tom, Ben, Abbey, Hannah and Dakota. She is further survived by a nephew, Mark Siewert, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Siewert and a niece, Lisa Buhrow. Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Judy on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Dr. in Oshkosh with the Rev. Dan Felton as celebrant. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Mass. A memorial fund will be established. Judy will be greatly missed and remembered as a very caring person and as a "Mom" to many.
