San Benito, TX - Juan L. Covarrubias, 88, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2016, in San Benito, Texas. He was born on November 10, 1928 to Rito and Herminia Covarrubias.He is preceded in death by his parents; and 2 half sisters.Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 66 years, Evangelina Covarrubias; children, Arturo (Irma), Lupe (Edilberto), Fernando (Ovelia), Carmen (Roberto), Rosa Maria, Johnny (Mari), Jose Angel, and Andy (Rosie); 26 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and sisters, Apolonia, Irene, Amalia, Rose, and Josefina.Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m.Funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church.
