Joye E. Lettelleir91, of Shelbyville, passed away on January 31, 2017 at OUR Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus, Indiana. She was born on October 17, 1925 to E.H. and Lola (Williams) Lawson in Center, Texas. She married Theodore "Ted" Lettelleir on May 10, 1947, and he survives.Other survivors include two children- Elizabeth Erath (husband Don) of Carmel, Indiana, and John D. Lettelleir (wife Diane) of Frisco, Texas, six grandchildren- Amy Recinto, Nancy Joyce, William Erath, James Erath, Donald F. Erath, & Jason Lettelleir.She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters, and daughter Mary Louise Lettelleir.Joye had lived in this area since 1947, after moving from Texas. She graduated from Center High School and also attended secretary school for two years. She was a member of First Baptist Church.She had been employed with ATT/Indiana Bell Telephone for 30 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of Indiana Bell Pioneer's Club, St. Joe Social Club, and was also a volunteer at Major Hospital Gift shop for several years.Joye enjoyed playing cards, traveling, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Martin Rodriquez officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, Shelbyville, Indiana. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.Memorials can be made to Heritage House Children's Center in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at
