Joseph Russell GrazianoMay 10, 1921 - January 22, 2014Joseph Russell Graziano, 92, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on January 22, 2014 at Portneuf Memorial Center Hospital. He was born on May 10, 1921 in Brocton, New York to Angelo Graziano and Salvatora Antonina Nicosia. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 1942 and married Eilene Agnes Jones in 1946. Russ, as he was known to most of his family and friends, had three children, Nancy Graziano, Jim Graziano (wife Stephanie Graziano), and Marsha Graziano. He grew up one of 9 children and worked most of his childhood on the family farm. His professional career spanned more than 30 years as a film editor with such well known studios as Warner Brothers, Universal Pictures, and J&J Film Service (his own Post Production Studio). He is survived by his children as well as 5 grandchildren, Lisa Wilken, Vanessa Graziano, Kate Raubolt, Joseph Graziano, and Justin Graziano. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Asher, Kade, Stella, Haddie, and Zane.Russ was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Eilene, and all 8 of his siblings.Russ enjoyed many things including hunting, golf and field trials with his favorite Labrador retriever Flash. He loved playing horseshoes with friends, boating, growing tomatoes and masonry. Many a house still bears the signs of his artistry with rock. Russ cherished his fund raising efforts with Toys for Tots for many, many years.He was a wonderful father, husband, brother and son. He will be greatly missed.The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the caring, supportive Doctors, Nurses, and administrative staff of Portneuf Medical Center Hospital for their loving attention to Russ during his stay with them.There will be a Rosary on Monday evening, January 27, 2014, at 7:00 pm at Saint Anthony Chapel of Holy Spirit Catholic Community in Pocatello, Idaho for family and friends to celebrate his life.There will also be a Mass on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at 1:00 pm at Saint Anthony Chapel of Holy Spirit Catholic Community, in Pocatello, Idaho, for everyone who would like to attend.In loving memory of Russ, the family would prefer that family and friends who wish to honor him, make a memorial donation to The Bengal Athletic Boosters in the name of Joseph Russell Graziano to support Academic Scholarships for Idaho State University's Student Athletes, 921 South 8th Avenue, Stop 8173, Pocatello, Idaho, 83209.
