Pindell, 85, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his children.Joe was born on July 14, 1931, in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Joseph C. and Inez (McCoy) Pindell.He is survived by his wife, Carolyn M. Pindell; children, Mara (Michael) Davis, Brenda (Joseph) Eber, Lisa (Michael) Krasowski, Laura (Jeff) Fry, Joseph (Ashley) Pindell II; 10 grandchildren; and sister, Jane Growcock.He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Pindell; and sisters, Elizabeth and Katherine.Friends can greet the family on Sunday, March 5th from 2 to 6 p.m. at Leppert Mortuary, 740 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Luke Catholic Church, 7575 Holliday Drive East, Indianapolis, on March 6, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. with a reception afterwards. A private burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery with Military honors. Donations can be made in his honor to the Catholic Youth Organization, 580 E. Stevens St., Indianapolis, IN 46203.
