Joseph Lopez, 79, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in Yuma, AZ surrounded by his family. He was born on June 19, 1935 in Brighton, Colorado. Joseph served in the U.S. Army. He worked at the Shamrock Ice Cream Plant and Cocopah Casino as a Maintenance Supervisor until his retirement. Joseph loved to listen to Oldies But Goodies and Mexican Music. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.Joseph is survived by his wife, Eleanor Lopez; daughters, Patricia Herrick, Sharon Trujillo (Robert), Josie Lopez, Nancy Almodova (David), Melissa Anderson (Corey); son, Joseph A. Lopez; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lopez; mother, Patricia Martinez Lopez; and sister, Nellie Cisneros. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014 and funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Johnson Mortuary, 1415 S. 1st Avenue, Yuma.
