Joseph A. Galich1923 - 2013Joseph A. Galich, 89, of Silver Lake, Wis., passed away while dancing his favorite dance the Fox Trot on Sunday Nov. 10, 2013. He was born on Dec. 26, 1923 the son of the late Nicholas and Mary Galich. In his early days he earned the Eagle Scout award. He received an Electrical Engineering degree from Washburn College in Chicago, IL. He served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He worked for 44 years as a mechanic for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad. He was a life member of the VFW Post 8375 of Silver Lake, WI. Joseph loved ballroom dancing and was an avid athlete who ran numerous miles each day. He is survived by his four children; Greg(Colleen) of Silver Lake, Wis., George (Vickie) Galich of Silver Lake, Wis., David Galich of Silver Lake, Wis., and Karen (Chuck) Warner of Somonauk, Ill.; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
