Joseph Carroll Coe, 87Joseph Carroll Coe, 87, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013 in Rosewalk Village.He was born on October 20, 1926 in Burkesville, KY to the late Herschel and Anna (Heard) Coe.On July 19, 1975, he married Violet "Vi" Minniear Lynch at the Christian Church in Burkesville, KY; she survives.Joseph worked for Eli Lilly as a Chemical Manufacturing Supervisor for 30 years; retiring in 1985. He previously worked for Clark's Drug Store in Indianapolis.Mr. Coe was a veteran of the United States Navy. He served his country in WW II , stationed on the USS Sitkin Ammunition Ship. He was a member of American Legion Post 11 and a life member of VFW Post 1154. Joseph loved to ride his Harley and travel with the tour company bus thanks to Brenda.Joseph is survived by his wife, Vi of Lafayette; his son, Steve Coe of Indianapolis; step children, Teresa (Tom) Graham of Fowler, Pat Harvey of Oxford, Mary (Jerry) Blackburn of Elwood, and Lisa (Tammy) Seha of Raleigh, NC. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Coe.Services will be at noon on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Zach Rainey officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m until noon on Thursday at Fisher Funeral Chapel.
