JOHN WINSTON MUIR 1939 - 2017 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Muir on May 3, 2017. John was predeceased by his wife Kathy in 2011 and his son Michael in 2014. He was also predeceased by his brother George, and parents William 'Billy' and Anna. He is survived by his daughter Cynthia, sons Jerry (Brenda) and Ryan (Susan) and grandchildren Darylanne, Draven and Brooklyn. He also leaves to mourn his brother Fred and sisters Martha, Tish, Betty, May Hazel, and Lillian. John was born on October 14, 1939 and spent much of his young life helping his parents run the family farm. He worked at the provincial park at Kenosee Lake for 38 years retiring in 2000 but continued to work various jobs in the community for many years. John will be forever remembered for his laughter and sense of humor, and for his kind heart and willingness to help. The funeral service will be held in Kennedy and District Community Hall, Kennedy, SK on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Barbara Wilkins officiating. Interment in Kennedy cemetery with lunch to follow in the Kennedy Hall. The family wishes to extend our most heartfelt appreciation to all of the staff at the Kipling Integrated Health Centre for their exceptional care and kindness as well as to all of the friends who dropped by to visit and offer their support.
