John Frank Fudge, 67, a resident of Mount Pleasant Manor in Mount Pleasant, SC and former resident of Rock Hill, SC died on Tuesday September 13th. He was born on October 6, 1948 in Rock Hill as the elder son of the late William Frank Fudge, Jr. and Lucia Bensi Fudge. Mr. Fudge was a 1966 graduate of Lewisville High School in Richburg as the class valedictorian. He was employed at several area companies including BI-LO and Hardee's. Mr. Fudge was a faithful member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill until a tragic car accident in 2011 resulted in his relocation to Mount Pleasant Manor. As a resident of Mount Pleasant Manor he always had a positive attitude and was a friend to all the residents and staff. He will be forever remembered for his sense of humor through the many challenges he faced in life, his love of family and God, and his tenacity to persevere. In addition to his parents Mr. Fudge was preceded in death by a brother Robert Louis Fudge. He is survived by three brothers; Stephen Warren Fudge and Mark Todd Fudge both of Rock Hill. Lawrence Eugene Fudge and wife Julie of Myrtle Beach; a sister Catherine Oliva Fudge and her finance James Ballard of North Charleston. Also, Mr. Fudge is survived by a niece Stephanie Fudge of Chester. Three nephews; William Fudge of Rock Hill, Christopher Fudge and his wife Summer and their daughter Addison of Myrtle Beach, Cody Fudge of Myrtle Beach. The family will have a visitation for friends and relatives at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 16, 2016. Funeral services will take place at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Tom Sherer officiating. Burial will follow the service at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Edgemoor. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1380 Celanese Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina 29732.
