Srnka Jr., John F.John Francis Srnka Jr., 78, of Algoma passed away after a 20-year long battle with Parkinson's Disease at Bellin Hospital with his family by his side. John was born on July 23, 1938 to the late John and Cora (Laurent) Srnka. In 1963 he married Elaine Vanden Bergh from Green Bay. John was a dairy farmer from the day he could drive a tractor at 5 years old. He farmed with his parents until he took over the family farm. He enjoyed farming, his kids, grandkids, taking some vacations and watching what was going on at the farm.John is survived by his wife Elaine; children, Scott (Tina) Srnka, Lisa (Mark) Schmidt, Duane (Jackie) Srnka, Kevin (Missy) Srnka, Mark Srnka (special friend Molly), Terry Srnka (special friend Amy); brothers and sisters, Joyce Boucher, Janice Dantoin, Judy (Ronnie) Wery, Jerry (Judy) Srnka, Jane (Bob) Barta; 10 brothers and sisters-in-law; grandchildren, Megan, Missy, Mitchell, Kaitlynn, Levi, Miranda, Kimberly, Danae, Dakota, Austin, Parker, McKenzie, Gavin, Gabby, Gage, Mikayla, Dylan and Hayden.He is preceded in death by son Danny Srnka, son-in-law Duane Iwen, brothers-in-law, Al Boucher and Wayne Dantoin, in-laws Fr. George, Dorothy and Ray, and Grandma and Grandpa Vanden Bergh.Visitation took place Wednesday October 12, 2016 from 8:00 - 11:00 am at St. Peters Catholic Church, Lincoln. Funeral followed at 11:00 with Father Dennis Drury and Deacon Paul Zenefski Officiating. Entombment then took place at the Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum at 2:45 pm.
