John ContiDecember 7, 1922 - May 4, 2015John "Father John" Conti, passed away peacefully in Nampa on May 4th at the age of 92.John is survived by his siblings: Rita, Mary, Joe, Larry and Freddie all of Massachusetts; and children, Sheila, Jay, Alicia, Renee, Chris, David, Deirdre, and Michael. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Conti and two siblings, Gene and Louise.John was born on December 7, 1922 in Framingham, Massachusetts to Guiseppi and Candida Conti. He graduated from Framingham High and went to serve in the United States Navy in World War II.John was a hardworking man who raised 8 children and gave all he earned to put a roof over their heads and food on the table. He used the $20 a week he kept for himself to have a few laugh and drinks with the guys, which was his favorite past time. He loved a good laugh and had a contagious one. If you ran into John at one of his favorite hang outs you would be asked about "Mrs. Murphy" and "Billy". His friends know how many times his mother in law passed away or how many times he kissed her on the mouth.So in the words of John Conti, "All you Protestants come have a drink with me"A Celebration of Life will be held this Thursday, May 7 at the Nampa Elks Lodge at 4:00 pm.
