1927 ~ 2016John Alexander Basinger, Jr., Age 89, died 2016-12-02 in Salt Lake City. He was born on 1927-10-27 to John Alexander Basinger and Daisy Mae Thompson in Wichita Kansas. He married Arthella Moosman on 1953-05-04 in the Logan temple. He was preceded in death by his wife and two great-grandsons. He is survived by his sister Joy Jeffrey, his five children: Gaylanne (Jerry) Clark, John (Adell) Basinger III, David (Janette) Basinger, Ramona (Rod) Braunberger, Norine (Adam) Hansen, 24 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Saturday 2016-12-10 with a viewing from 1:00 - 1:45 pm with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm at the LDS chapel at 3625 East Dover Hill Dr, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
