Joe Nathan Polk was born in Drew, Mississippi on April 23, 1963, to the late Percy Polk Jr and the late Frenchie Foreman-Polk.

Joe confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with the Shady  Grove M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Rev Metcalf, where he remained as a faithful member until he went to the army, never forgetting the church.

Joe was a graduate of the Marks Industrial High School in Marks, Mississippi. He worked at the Quitman County High School for 25 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Babiya Polk, of Memphis TN, his children Naoko Polk and Jacinta Polk. He leaves one sister Caroline Polk-Palmer(Delbert) of Columbus OH. He also leaves 3 grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
