Omernik, Joanne M.Joanne M. Omernik, age 62, passed away at her home on Monday, April 3, 2017. She was born on February 16, 1955 to the late Myron Sr. and Cecilia (Lebryk) Omernik.She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School in Polonia and graduated from SPASH in 1973. She worked many years at Kmart in Stevens Point and had several other part-time jobs and was recently retired.Joanne enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and her cats Mama Kitty and Snowy.Joanne is survived by brothers Myron Jr. (Mary Ann), Gary (Ann), Ronald all of Polonia and Robert of Stevens Point and sisters, Nancy (Paul) Domaszek and Denise Omernik of Polonia and Donna (Dennis) Greco of Custer. Also survived by brother-in-law Richard Konkol and sister-in-law Bonnie Omernik and nieces and nephews and special friend Gwen Wanta.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lawrence and sister Linda Konkol.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday April 7, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Polonia. Rev. Gregory Michaud will officiate. Visitation on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
