Joann Marie HauffMarysvilleJoann Marie Hauff, age 62, of Marysville, passed away on September 11, 2017, in her home. Joann will always be remembered for her courage during difficult times, and though she took her life, we know she is now at rest, without pain.She was born on May 29, 1955, in Yale to the Jeanne M. Decker and the late Harold A. Decker.Joann graduated from St. Clair High School, class of 1973. She worked as the receptionist for St. Clair County Intermediate School District/RESA for 32 years and was a lifelong member of Community of Christ Church, Wadhams Grove Congregation. Joann loved riding her Harley Davidson and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her perfectionistic approach to life, especially with family photo taking! She was a loving, devoted mother to her daughter, Kristi, and a fun, caring and generous daughter, sister, aunt and friend to everyone.Joann was a friend and advocate, never hesitating with any cause that benefited her daughter and others. She worked tirelessly to help change legislation impacting persons with intellectual disabilities.She is survived by her special needs daughter, Kristi Rea Hauff of Marysville, mother, Jeanne M. Decker of Fort Gratiot, brother Bill Decker of Arlington, Virginia, brother Douglas Decker, Sr. of Detroit, brother and sister-in-law, David (Judy) Decker of Croswell, brother and sister-in-law, John (Mary Clare) Decker of New York City, sister and brother-in-law, Joyce (Dave) Giles of North Street, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 18, 2017, in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron. Elder Dave Teeple will officiate. Burial will take place in East Berlin Cemetery.Visiting hours will be Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.Pallbearers are Doug Decker, Jr, Dawn Decker, Mark Decker, Jenny Giles-Voss, Mike Decker, Jeffrey Giles, Scott Decker and Sarah Johnson.Donations may be made to the "Kristi R.
