Cann, JoanJoan Cann, 80, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2017 after a short illness. She was born on August 5, 1936, the daughter of Winford and Angela (Monette) Biemeret.She graduated from St. Joseph Academy, Class of 1954. On August 27, 1966, Joan married Donald Cann at St. John Church in Green Bay. Joan and Don were basically inseparable, doing everything together throughout their marriage. They were married 40 years, until Don's death on October 5, 2005.In addition to raising two children, Joan worked for Fort Howard Paper Company for many years.She loved cheering on the Pack, Elvis, spending time with family, and in her younger years, cruising in her white Cadillac convertible. Her witty sense of humor and laughter will be greatly missed.Joan "Grandma J" will be missed by her loving children: Christine Cann, Green Bay; Michael (Debra) Cann, Belleville, WI; grandchildren, Benjamin, Mikayla, and Adam; her sister, Elaine Tisler, Coleman; sister-in-law, Joyce (Charles) Chouinard, Sturgeon Bay; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Mary Ann Thiesfeldt; and brother-in-law, Raymond Tisler.Friends may call at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 8. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev. John H. Harper officiating.
