Jimmy BaldonadoTUSCOLA, TXSantiago Jimmy Baldonado, 87, beloved husband, father, and grandfather was called to his eternal resting place on Thursday, May 25, 2017. He was born on July 25, 1929, to Jose and Maria Baldonado in Port Lavaca.Though Jimmy never had a formal education he was one of the smartest men around, from farming and dairy to a tool box maker in Winters. He enjoyed gardening with a special love for all kinds of roses. He could even be found growing vegetables, especially Jalapenos. His greatest joy was watching his 80 grand, great grand, great great grandchildren grow.He is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Lucia Baldonado.He is survived by their children Michael Alatorre, Fred Trevino, Felix Segura, Rudy Garza, Richard Garza, Rose Ozuna, Diane Ortiz, Sylvia Ortiz, Robert Garza, Roland Garza and numerous grandchildren.Visitation will be on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Fry-Smith Funeral home in Tuscola, TX from 5:00PMto 7:00PM with Rosary following from 7:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral service will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Winters, TX at 1:30PM. Pallbearers include Edmund Ortiz, Anthony Sanchez-Ortiz, Cade Garza, Ricky Ortiz, Alfredo Rodriguez, and Jacob Phariss.
