GaluardiJessie Margaret Galuardi (Newberry), 90, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017 surrounded by family. She was born on Feb. 7, 1927 in Croswell, MI to the late Clayton and Lillian (Galbraith) Newberry. Jessie was a devoted wife for 55 years to the late Albert "Gal" "Brother" Galuardi. She was a loving mother to Mary (Roger) Peterman, Ken (the late Laurie) Galuardi, Pat Galuardi, Lou Ann (Pat) McCarthy, Alise (Jim) Thompson, John (Laura) Galuardi; exceptional grandmother to Tina (Josh) Hubert, Liz (Bradley) Younger, Rob (Allison) Peterman, Dan Galuardi, Jeff Galuardi, Kelsey Galuardi, Colleen McCarthy, Dellen McCarthy, Sam Ringer-Thompson, Brennan Galuardi & Lauren Galuardi and great grandmother to Austin Younger, Mae Younger, Hannah Hubert & Caroline Hubert. Jessie was born an only child but gained four brothers and four sisters when she married Al. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, June Preschutti, Marylou Galuardi & Christine Nord; brother-in-law, Jim Galuardi and many beloved nieces & nephews. Jessie was an active member of Sigma Alpha Sorority for over 50 years where she found true sisterhood. She also leaves behind many close neighbors from her homes in Michigan & Kentucky and caretaker friends from Atria Sr. Living & Carmel Manor Nursing Home. Jessie knew the true meaning of "love your neighbor as yourself" and was excellent at making people feel like they were part of her family. We will celebrate Jessie's entry into eternal life at a graveside service on July 28th at 12:30 p.m. at Roseland Park Cemetery, 29001 Woodward Ave. Berkley, MI. (Newberry family plot, Section 19). A Reception will immediately follow at Crispelli's, 28939 Woodward Ave, Berkley, MI.
