Jerry R. MossmanNEWARK: Jerry Rue Mossman, 65, of Newark, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, December 11, 2016. His wife, Debbie, was by his side, as was the rest of his beloved family, including his dog, Kirby. Family will greet friends from 4-8pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Brucker Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street, Newark, OH. Jerry was born on October 18, 1951 to Gerald and Marian (Smith) Mossman. He attended Newark High School until he left to provide for his family. He married his lovely wife, Debbie, on July 8, 1971. On March 3, 1995, Jerry was given the gift of a double lung transplant, which gave him 21 extra years with his family. He never missed any of his grandsons' ballgames, and was a life-long supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals. On warm days, he liked to be on the lake, fishing and joking with his buddies. Jerry was a man who was loved by many, from family to coworkers to fishing buddies to neighbors. He was married to the love of his life for 45 wonderful years, and had two beautiful daughters. He had three grandchildren, they were the highlights of his life and he was very proud of them. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Shirley Hamm. He is survived by his wife, daughters, Trisha Richardson (Brent Boykin) and Chanda Mays; grandchildren, Lauren Cayton, Austin Mays, Chase Richardson; and his dog, Kirby.
