Jenny G ProudJuly 18, 1929 - Nov. 18, 2016MISHAWAKA - Jenny G. Proud, 87, of Elder Road, Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 18th, 2016 at her home. She was born on July 18, 1929 in South Bend, Indiana to John and Frances ( Cinal ) Sabuda, who both preceded her in death. On July 7th, 1978, in Las Vegas, Nevada, she married Richard Proud who died October 29th, 1999. She is survived by her daughters: Emily (Eddie) Butler of Mishawaka and Rosemary Carter of South Bend, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers: Emil Sabuda and Stanley Sabuda along with two sisters, Mary Balon and Bernice Edwards. She retired from Bendix Corp. March 1st, 1985. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mishawaka where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30am on Wednesday, November 23rd. Friends will be received from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Tuesday and also one hour prior to the Mass at Queen of Peace. Burial will take place following the Mass at St. Joseph Polish Roman Catholic Cemetery, South Bend. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Center for Hospice Care.
