Oswald, Jeanette A.Jeanette A. Oswald, age 93, of Manitowoc died Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Artisan Senior Living of Manitowoc.The former Jeanette Rogala was born on July 27, 1924 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Jacob and Frances (Witczak) Rogala. She attended local area schools and graduated with the class of 1942 from Lincoln High School. On August 29, 1953 Jeanette married Edwin Oswald at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2013. The couple farmed in the Town of Kossuth until their retirement in 1988 and then they moved to Manitowoc. She was a lifelong member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Reifs Mills and a member of the church's Rosary Society. Jeanette enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and always put everyone else first.Survivors include her five children and their spouses: David (Barbara) Oswald, Whitelaw; Margaret (Chuck) Hanf, Two Rivers; Jane (William) Baader, Mukwonago; Michael Oswald and his special friend, Jane Marcelle, Two Rivers; Diane (Shane) Sparks, Bryant; 14 grandchildren: Alan (Jamie) Oswald, Stacy (Chad) Landwehr, Kimberly (Nate) Kropuenske, Danielle Oswald, Edwin Oswald, Matthew Oswald, Olivia Hanf, Christopher Hanf, Angela Hanf, Billy Baader, Andrew Baader, Eric Oswald, Sidney Sparks, Sarita Sparks; 4 great grandchildren: Caleb, Austin and Adelyn Landwehr, Ivy Oswald; one brother: Stanley Rogala, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Edwin Oswald; one infant daughter: Theresa Oswald; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Antonette (Melvin) Kautzer; Eleanor Rogala; Gertie (Don) O'Leary; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Harry (Coletta) Rogala; Joseph (Jeanette) Rogala; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Angie Rogala; Joseph (Irene) Oswald. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Jeffrey J. Briones will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, Reifs Mills.
