Dreves, Jane SCOTIA Jane Dreves, 97, of Saratoga Road, died on Monday, November 7, 2016, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. She was born on November 5, 1919, in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late Walter and Valeria (Maleski) Laniewski. Among her family she was first generation Polish American. Jane attended Nott Terrace High School in Schenectady and in her early years was employed by G.E. in Schenectady for over 20 years. She was married to the late Alfred Dreves. Although Jane had no children of her own, she shared her endless love with her nieces, nephews and their children. Jane was the beloved sister of Bette (Raymond) Franklin, Lillian Lemmo, the late John Laniewski and Harriet Rodwell; dear aunt of Nancy L. (C. Andrew) Brauer, Valerie B. (the late Mark) Ryan, Ronnie (Nancy) Laniewski, Kenneth (Mary) Laniewski, Sherrill (Robert) Redmond, Gary (Nora) Franklin, Lisa Jaimes, Mark Lemmo; great-aunt of Katherine (Mark) Carmichael, Kristen (Alaric Trousdale) Brauer, PhD, Peter (Stephanie) Brauer, Jeffrey (Laura Valdmanis) Brauer, Matthew Ryan, Dr. Sara (David Jackson) Ryan, Taryn (Anthony) Roselli, Ryan (Danielle) Redmond, Paul Franklin, Cory (Emily) Franklin, Kenneth Laniewski Jr. and Chad Laniewski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 11, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, 73 Midline Road, Ballston Lake. All are invited to attend a reception at Valerie Ryan's home after the funeral. Interment will be in St. Adelbert's Cemetery, Schenectady, at a later date.
