FRANSKVILLE - James Jim Walter Reeves, formerly of Franksville, Wisconsin, died peacefully at his home with his family in Black River Falls, Wisconsin on April 2, 2016 at the age of 81. Jim was born on February 8, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to James and Bernice (Diedrich) Reeves. Jim was a proud United States ArmyVeteran and served in the Korean War. His heroic efforts were noted as he recently accompanying his fellow veterans on the Veterans Honor Flight and his funeral service will be in full military honor. He worked for Oakes Construction Company in Racine, Wisconsin, Nestles Food Company in Burlington, Wisconsin and most recently as a Customer Greeter at Walmart in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. James is preceded in death by his loving wife, Maryann of 49 years. He is survived by his three children, Jeffery (Cindy) Reeves of Eagle River, Wisconsin, Carolyn Christensen (Tom Kubera) of Kansasville, Wisconsin, and Kim Chase of Black River Falls, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; Steven (Erin) Christensen, Bobby (Kristene) Christensen, John Christensen, Jimmy Christensen, Zackary Chase, Miranda Chase (Daniel Clements), Katie Lucas, and Brian Reeves. James and Maryann were proud great-grandparents of Ryan, Russel, Andrew, Tyler, Derrick, Evan, and Vance. He is also survived by his brother Terry Reeves of Brookfield, Wisconsin and his nephew Scott (Joy) Reeves and niece Kelly (Ron) Drewa. Memorial funeral services for James Jim Reeves will be Friday, April 15, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Racine, Wisconsin. Father Mark will be officiating. Grave side service with Military Honors will follow. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Torgerson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
