James R. Lilly was born Feb 17,1955 in Beaumont, Texas to dorthy Lilly & Tim Lilly. He was the 4th youngest out 7 kids. James went to Linblom Tech High School. After high school James attended Texas Southern University playing football, and majoring in Criminal Justice. After graduation, James moved to Chicago and became a school teacher, and football coach for Simeon. While teaching, he finally got his dream and was welcome into the Chicago Police Force. From there he served for 22 years, as well as, continued to coach his 4 sons in football. James was called home May 5th. He leaves his son Jonathan R. Rudd sr, his daughter Nicole D Lilly, his brother Mike Lilly & others he ispis in death by his son Jason Rudd, Lee Lilly, his mother and father. James was a great father, officer, coach and all around man. He touched so many, and will be missed dearly.
