James “Jim” Patrick Domenico died on January 29, 2019, at the Veterans Administration hospital in San Francisco, California, at the age of 66.
Jim is survived by his siblings, Eileen Vaughan of Milton Keynes, United Kingdom; Patricia DiDomenico of San Jose, California; and Stephen DiDomenico of Danville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nora Whelan Domenico, who died in 2010 in Santa Clara, California, and Robert Joseph Domenico, who died in 2015 in Danville, Kentucky.
Jim was born on May 3, 1952, in Poughkeepsie, New York. He graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, California, in 1970. In 1973, he enlisted the United States Naval Reserve. He served as a radio operator with the Patron Four squadron, and was discharged honorably in 1976. After his time in the service, he received an Associate Degree from Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, California, and then entered California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo to study Mechanical Engineering. He moved to San Francisco in 1988, and lived there until his death.
