Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel followed by interment at Lakewood Memorial Park.Mr. Jackson was born on September 20, 1927 to the late Joseph James and Pinky Montgomery Jackson. He was a paratrooper in the 82nd airborne in the United States ARMY, serving in Japan and at the Pentagon. He was an electronic salesman with Dillard's where he received many outstanding salesmanship awards throughout his career. He attended Emmanuel Church in Jackson for many years.He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wilton, Edwin, Ray, and Joe Jackson; sisters, Inez Smith, Vera Boone, and Ruby Rutland.Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances Jackson; sons, Blane Jackson and Bruce Jackson (Carolyn); daughters, Beverly Bross (Mike), Beth Gordin (Clark) and Brigette Norris (Brent); sister, Lucille Johnson; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.Please visit lakewoodfuneralhomes.com for online guestbook.
