Jimmy passed away on Nov. 10, 2016, at the age of 79. After many years of recovery from a traumatic brain injury sustained in 1992, he passed away very peacefully and surrounded by family. Jimmy was born on July 26, 1937, in San Francisco, CA. Raised in SF, he attended Riordan High School, and later graduated with a bachelor's degree in public health from UC Berkeley. He worked as a building inspector for the City and County of SF for 23 years, before moving to Sacramento in 1991 for retirement. Jimmy also retired from a 37-year career as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy Reserve, achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Since his injury he had been a member of Disabled American Veterans. Jimmy was a devout Catholic, active in the Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent de Paul Society, and a lifelong fan of the SF Giants and 49ers. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gloria, and their four children, Jaime (Cilicia), Alicia Iniguez (Michael), Eduardo, and Mario (Agueda). He is also survived by his brother John (Robert), and sisters Pat Chan, Ida Mai, Lily Kane (Dennis), and Nelly Bertucci (Bob). He was devoted to his 9 grandchildren, David, Emilio, Maya, Ariana, and Cecilia Iniguez, Lucas and Petra Wong-Lopez, and Ignacio and Santiago Wong. A Holy Rosary Service will be held on Friday, November 18, at 7pm, and a Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 19, at 11am. Both services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, at 9961 Elk Grove Florin Rd., Elk Grove, CA 95624. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to St. Joseph's Church, attention/payable to "St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Joseph's Conference."
