James "Jim" H. Wood, 70, a lifelong resident of Wethersfield, CT passed away peacefully with his family by his side October 27th, 2016 at Hartford Hospital, the son of the late Herbert and Eunice Wood and pre-deceased by his brother Leroy and sister Jane. He leaves his beloved wife Joan, his daughter Sandra Byrne and her husband Alan of Wethersfield and their children Ryan and Elie; his son Michael Wood and his wife Jennifer of Marlborough and their children Kyle and Marina; his brother Earl Wood and his wife Wendy West of East Hartford and his sister Carole Hogle of Florida. Jim was born on January 20th, 1946 in Hartford CT he was a 1964 graduate of Wethersfield High School and a member of the Iron Workers' Local #15 and the founder of Wood and Wood Seamless Gutters. Jim was an avid sailor who fought the good fight and lived a full life. He touched many lives and saved a few souls along the way. May you sail upon sunny skies and strong winds.
