James Edward TonerTellico Village Loudon, TNJim Toner, age 83 of Loudon, Tennessee passed away July 14, 2017.Jim was a member of Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, walking the woods in Vermont, skiing and golf. He was a devoted husband and father.He was born on May 27, 1934 in Lewistown, PA. After graduating from high school, he entered the Navy. He was assigned to the Hospital Corps school in Maryland. He was senior medic at the Portsmouth, NH Naval Hospital. He transferred to the Marine Corps in 1954. After completing Marine boot camp in CA, he was shipped out to Korea, Japan and Hawaii. After discharging from the military, he married Marilyn Rand of Portsmouth, NH. That started their adventure in life. The were married for 60 years. Jim worked 25 years for IBM.Preceded in death by his parents, Mary and George Toner.Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Toner; children Darrell Toner (Bev) of VT, Robert Toner of Oak Ridge, TN and Dawn Estel of Tellico Village, TN; one grandson Eddie Estel of Tellico Village, TN.The family will receive friends on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 1 - 2 p.m. at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, 143 Chota Center, Loudon, TN with a service of worship to follow at 2 p.m.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church.Click Funeral Home & Cremations - Tellico Village chapel is serving the family of Jim Toner. www.clickfuneralhome.com
