. RACINE - James E. Sorenson, Jr., 52, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care-All Saints on September 13, 2013. Jimmy was a lifetime resident of Racine, born on October 1, 1960, to the late James and Carol (Lisko) Sorenson. Jimmy was very aware of the sounds around him; an unfamiliar sound would quickly draw his attention and curiosity. He enjoyed music, especially rock & roll. Jimmy loved being outdoors, throwing a ball and taking walks on a windy day. The Price Is Right was one of his favorite TV programs and undeniably, Jimmy appreciated the beauty of women. Surviving is his sisters, Karen (Timothy) Thery and Shirley (Gregory) Yanasak; brothers, Mark Sorenson and Harold Sorenson, all of Racine. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and Gerry and cousins, Jim, Sarah and Zachary and his Uncle Earl. Funeral services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Tony Larsen officiating. Jimmy will be laid to rest at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
