Obermeier, James D.James Dennis Obermeier, age 52, of Shiocton, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Jim was born on March 9, 1964 in New London to Kenneth and Donna (Schwab) Obermeier. He grew up in Shiocton and graduated from Shiocton High School in 1982. Following graduation, Jim worked on the family farm for several years before starting work in construction. Jim was currently employed at Northeast Asphalt. He loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, cutting wood and keeping an eye on his garden. Jim especially loved spending time with his son Jacob, who was his pride and joy!Jim is survived by his son, Jacob; mother, Donna; siblings, William Obermeier, Bonnie, (Kevin) Kamba, Sandra (Richard) Marcks, Lynn (Gene) Diermeier, Robert (Ann) Obermeier and Patricia (Thomas) Ahrens; and his dog, Mojo. He is further survived by an uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Jim was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth and paternal and maternal grandparents.A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at St. Denis Catholic Church in Shiocton. Fr. Richard Allen and Deacon Ken Bilgrien will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service directly at the church. Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery, Town of Bovina.The family would like to thank the Shiocton First Responders and the doctors, nurses and staff at both ThedaStar and ThedaCare Neenah.
