James "Jim" Andrew McLeod, 48, of Lufkin, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at CHI St. Luke's Hospital in Houston, Texas. Services will be 10:00 a.m, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial to follow in Holton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m., Monday, January 30, at the funeral home. Jim was born on August 3, 1968 to Buck and Libby McLeod in Temple, Texas. He had lived in Lufkin for the past several years. He was a graduate from Belton High School in 1987 and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1996. Jim was a sales representative for Ortho McNeil before becoming owner of Charlie's Restaurant in Jasper. He then became the food service director and golf coach for Pineywood's Community Academy in Lufkin. He is survived by his two sons and the light and joy of his life, Charles Andrew McLeod, 17 and James William "J.B." McLeod, 13, both of Lufkin, parents, Buck and Libby McLeod of Jasper, brother John McLeod and wife Julie of Andrews, sister Karen Barber and husband David and Grandmother, Willie Mae McLeod, all of Jasper. Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.
