Capelle, Sister Jacqueline, OSFSister Jacqueline Capelle, OSF, age 73, a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Odd Fellow Home.Jacqueline Fay Capelle was born on July 7, 1943 in Green Bay, WI, daughter of the late Clarence and Vera (Kruse) Capelle, (stepmother). She entered the convent in 1960, professed her vows in 1963 and celebrated her Golden Jubilee in 2011.Sister Jacqueline earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from St. Norbert College, De Pere, WI; a Master's Degree in Elementary Administration from Norther Michigan University; a Master's Degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University, Chicago, IL; and a Master's Degree in Theology from St. Mary of the Woods, IN. She served as a teacher at Holy Trinity, Casco; St. Matthew, Green Bay; and was a teacher and principal at St. John the Baptist, Howard; Holy Martyrs, Green Bay; and St. Anthony, Columbus, TX. She served as a Pastoral Minister at St. Mary, Kaukauna and St. Mary, Peshtigo. She was a Literacy/Citizenship Educator at Fort Howard and Howe Resource Center, Green Bay and a senior aide at N.E.W. Curative Rehabilitation, Green Bay.Sister Jackie loved her family and was proud of her nieces and nephews. She had a deep love and care for immigrants and for the poor. In her later years, she volunteered at the Micah Center until her health declined. Even in her final illness, Sister Jackie kept a cheerful spirit and an interest in those around her.Survivors include the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross and Associates; one sister, Nancy (Cletus) Puyleart; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.Preceding her in death were her parents, Clarence and Vera Capelle.Friends may call at St. Francis Convent, 3110 Nicolet Dr., Green Bay on Wednesday, February 8 at 4 p.m. for the reception of the body and visitation. The Vigil Service will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation for Sister Jacqueline will continue on Thursday, February 9 at Holy Cross Church, 3009 Bay Settlement Road, from 9 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with Rev. Dean Dombroski as celebrant.
