Jacky Bernice Davis was called home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2015. She was 58 years old.

Mrs. Davis was born Jacky Bernice Oliver to her parents, Jessie and Revo Oliver (who precedes her in death), on September 01, 1956.

In 1974, she graduated from L.G. Pinkston High School and went on to pursue her dream at the University of Houston, where she received her Masters Degree in Education in 1978. While attending college, Mrs. Davis met, fell in love with, and married her husband John Davis and made three beautiful children. In 1981, Mrs. Davis began her first job as a Third grade teacher at Harrell Budd Elementary in Dallas, Texas where she taught throughout her entire career and retired in 2014. Mrs. Davis was a loving, patient, and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, teacher and friend who will be missed dearly. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Mr. John Davis, her three children; Jackie Penigar, Rodney Davis, Tracey Henderson, Jada Davis and John Davis Jr.,13 grandchildren, 1 great grand daughter, 3 brothers; Billy Oliver, James Oliver, and Clarence Oliver, 5 nieces, 3 nephews and many more relaitives and friends.
